About   Our  Company

     S & J Auto Sales Inc. was established in September, 1971 by Paul David Shirley Jr. For 28 years the business was located on S. Main St. in Princeville, NC.  Over these years the business grew to include a comprehensive service department and a complete reconditioning facility. A vehicle rental department was added in 1992. On September 16, 1999 the dealership was completely destroyed by the flood of Hurricane Floyd. In just a few weeks thereafter, S & J Automobile Sales Inc. reopened at its present location, 213 E. Hope Lodge St. in Tarboro, NC.

     As our company continues to expand and evolve, the one guiding principle that has remained steadfast along the way is the goal of satisfying each and every customer. Since our beginning, and for more than three decades, our corporate mission statement has been the same.  That is “To make it easy for our customers to purchase an EXTRA NICE product at a fair price, from people devoted to quality service.”
